About cindy
I show up to places, people, and moments with attention — and translate what unfolds through drawing and paint.
My work begins on site or from lived experience: a musician mid-phrase, a quiet table, a familiar street. I’m less interested in accuracy than in presence — the energy of a moment as it’s felt.
I work intuitively, responding to marks as they appear. Each gesture invites the next, in a kind of call and response — a conversation shaped by movement, rhythm, trust, and a natural hand tremor that keeps the work alive and responsive.
Much of my work lives between observation and interpretation — part witness, part translation. Whether drawing live or working in the studio, I’m guided by curiosity rather than control.
